This week’s What Is Sexy?
There are no words to express the joy I felt last night upon hearing the most amazing news that Barack Obama won the election. I was so happy I cried.
There are so many things I wish I could do and say, but don’t out of laziness or fear. And I guess that laziness or fear comes from lack of faith. By faith, I don’t mean religion, but something to believe in. I have wanted to believe we could have this change, but was afraid to have too much hope. Last night, I was ready to pull the lever and be counted, right there behind the curtain, inside my private booth, and for a long time before that too. But I had to enjoy the moment as much as possible. I stood and stared at the pretty thing I had created right in front of me. Pushing that little switch felt so wonderful. Seeing the X next to Barack Obama – what a beautiful site. A vote for Obama was my vote for change and hope. Barrack is the man who can make that happen. I feel alive again. Barrack is Mr. President. If that’s not sexy, I don’t know what is.
