Sweet Surrender

My source, once again, must remain anonymous, but this poem was too beautiful not to post.
Why do I hurt when I feel your skin against mine?
Because I know I’ll be forced to separate from it.
Is this desire, this hunger, this fear
going to last or will it disappear?
As I feel the emptiness take over me when you
let go of my hand, I can’t wait ‘til the next
moment we can hold each other again
Every time we meet I feel like it’s the first time
Even though your face never escapes my vision.
Your voice disguises itself in the air that surrounds me
Your touch hides itself in the lyrics of those love songs.
Those sad, sensitive, seductive songs that send
shivers through my flesh
Your tender heat penetrates my soul
Your breath is the sweet, succulent breeze
That sprinkles my body on an ardent summer day
I want to hold your laughter, your yearnings,
Your tears and fears in my hand so
I can moisturize my body with your essence.
